Notes from the real Las Vegas

Let's try to avoid THIS happening again, people!

I am in the process of uploading the old My Tiny Vegas stories to this site. I should have that done in a day or two. I plan on blogging a few days a week, telling stories about our original Las Vegas, here in New Mexico, as well as telling the story of what it’s like to market a city to the outside world.

If you are a local artist or artisan – of any kind, from visual arts to music to theatre to dance and everything in between – please bookmark this site and check back now and then. I plan on posting things that you can do to promote your own, local business. I will also be announcing my summer (FREE!) workshops for artists on how to promote their own business.

I’m interested in transparency, so expect to read about what really happens behind the Las Vegas arts scene! Kind of an underbelly of the beast approach…

This blog will be irreverent, funny, and hopefully thought-provoking. Las Vegas, New Mexico has so much to offer, but often times the darn town shoots itself in the foot. Let’s see what we can do to promote our tiny Vegas, and get this show on the road!

On Location,

Birdie

Hello, We discovered Las Vegas when our daughter came here to attend United World College. I am a Cherokee artist, you can find some of my art at Tito’s Gallery. We plan to make Las Vegas our home in 2010. I think LV is the best kept secret of the southwest. See you soon. Lori  (Quote)
